Gallbladder

Gallbladder

The Gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ located below the liver, on the right of the abdomen. Its main function is to store as well as concentrate bile for being secreted later into the digestive system, while this enzyme gets made by the liver. The gallbladder has an absorbent lining which makes the stored enzyme concentrated. When food enters the small intestine, a hormone is secreted which directs the organ to secrete bile into the small intestine to facilitate digestion. This organ helps in breaking down fats while also draining waste material from the liver into the small intestine.

The gallbladder squeezes the reserved bile into the small intestine through biliary ducts. Although bile aids in the digestion of fats but the organ is not essential for survival. In case of medical complications, surgical removal of the gallbladder doesn’t pose any threat to the body other than a minor risk of diarrhoea or insufficient absorption of fat.

Throughout its lifetime, the gallbladder can develop three disorders as far as the cases which have been reported suggest. First is the development of stones inside the organ, second, being the inflammation of the tissues which causes thickening of its walls and the third being gallbladder cancer.

An overview of the three ailments:

Gallbladder Stones: An excess deposition of cholesterol, bilirubin or bile salts can lead to the formation of stones. This happens when the stored bile crystallizes inside the cavity of the organ. Prolonged consumption of fried junk food can cause this and people above the age of 40 are at higher risk. Unlike Kidney stones, it has been observed that 70% of these stones are Cholesterol based and only about 30% are Calcium based. The gallbladder has only one duct which is used for incoming and outgoing bile. Thus, it is difficult to drain out a stone of big
ger size than the circumstance of the duct. The gallbladder works by squeezing action and if the stone gets stuck in the bile duct, it obstructs bile flow, as a result, the brain does not issue release signal to Gallbladder. The squeezing motion continues, resulting in severe pain due to inflammation of Gallbladder muscles. This pain is very intense and requires immediate medical care. Mostly surgical removal is advised but we at Zyropathy, offer supplements to dissolve the stone gradually. Contrary to the common belief that only Kidney stones can be flushed out, we have succeeded in offering a solution to flush out gallstones too. Although, this process is slow but effective.

Gallbladder Inflammation and Cancer: Gallbladder inactivity mainly caused due to the presence of oversized GB stone for a prolonged duration causes thickening of Gallbladder walls. This may escalate into cancer. Gallbladder cancer is rather rare and women are more prone to develop it. Symptoms include pain in the upper-right portion of abdomen, fever, nausea and onset of jaundice. Zyropathy offers adequate medications and supplements to cure this ailment within 3-6 months and restore the organ.
