Hemorrhoids or piles are dilated veins in a soft tissue which cover the inner part if the colon and anus.

Symptoms: When there is pressure on the tissue the veins are dilated and the tissue thickens. There are two types of hemorrhoids; internal and external. A person may have one or both at the same time. An internal hemorrhoid is when the hemorrhoid is formed in the anal opening and is covered by skin.

What causes the hemorrhoid? The pressure is mainly caused when there is constipation; obesity and pregnancy also contribute to causing its formation.

  • Take sit baths with warm water.
